Bird Watching: RSPB Sites at Wood of Cree and Mull of Galloway, Bird Hide can be found at Wigtown Harbour

Cycling and Mountain Biking: Mountain Bike trails are available on the 7stanes centres at Glentrool and Kirroughtree and caters for riders of all abilities both centres are approx 15 mins by car.  Otherwise the area has a wealth of Sustrans cycle routes down quiet country lanes.

Fishing: Luce Bay or Loch Ryan are a 20 minute drive and are renowned for good sea fishing.  Brown or rainbow trout fishing can be found on many of the local lochs. Course fishing for pike is also available on many of the local large lochs.

Walking: The local area has literally hundreds of fantastic walking opportunities ranging from easy to very difficult.  the highest peak in Dumfries and Galloway, the Merrick, is 25 minutes by car.  The Newton Stewart Walking Festival is also a popular annual event.

Wildlife: Red squirrels, buzzards, peregrines, otters, red and roe deer, badgers, foxes, and pine martins, barn owls and red kites are just some of the rich wildlife that can be seen by visitors in the local area and most are resident on the farm.

Golf: Golf courses are available at Newton Stewart (10 mins), Wigtown (15 mins), Glenluce (10 mins), Monreith (30 mins) and Stranraer (25 mins)

Culture: Nearby Wigtown is Scotland's booktown and hosts the annual Wigtown Book Festival.  Here you will also find an array of bookshops selling new and second hand titles.  For music lovers the Creetown Country Music Festival is a treat not to be missed.
